Optimizing Signature Images for Report Cards

Modified on Tue, 1 Apr at 11:46 AM

To ensure your signature images appear clear and correctly formatted on report cards, follow these guidelines:

Image Scaling

  • All signature images will be scaled to a maximum height of 24px, regardless of their original size.

  • If the image width exceeds the available space after initial scaling, it will be reduced further to fit within the signature area. This may cause distortion or "squishing" of the image.

  • Signature area sizes may vary slightly across different report cards.

Recommended Image Settings

  • For optimal display, use a 1:1 image ratio with a height of 24px.

  • Images smaller than 24px will be scaled up significantly and are likely to appear blurry.

Recent Improvements

  • Print Report Card Feature Update: Resolved an issue where included signatures were reduced in size, making them difficult to read.

  • Added support for .PNG images with transparency:

    • Transparent .PNG signatures can now be displayed larger without overlapping the signature line, improving legibility.

    • The maximum height is 24px, and images wider than the bounds of the signature area will be shrunk in width only to fit within the signature area.

  • JPG images: Support remains unchanged, with a maximum height of 15px.
