Situation
When trying to add an existing lock to the student record the system indicates it does not exist even though the lock is in the system and no student is attached to it. You have students with the locks to be assigned that experience this error.
Solution
1. Setup > Lockers > Locks
Search by serial number/combination number.
IMPORTANT: Ensure the lock type is school supplied lock. If not, then update it. Make note of the combination number
2. Setup > Lockers > Lockers
Search by combination number. This will identify the locker associated with the combination.
3. Check the built-in lock option
Edit the locker number > The combination should appear below in the built-in lock section > Uncheck the built-in lock to delete the combination from the fields > SAVE
4. Go into the student records > lockers > Edit (select pencil icon) > Change option to existing lock > Typing in the serial number or combination should display the lock now > SAVE
