Make a backup copy of your file in case something goes wrong.

Open a blank Excel worksheet.

Click on the Data ribbon and select Get Data..From File…From Text

Choose your EDAS file and click Import.

Click the Transform Data button at the bottom of the screen. Power Query Editor will open.

Press Ctrl + A to select every column shown.  All the columns will turn green to show you they are selected.

Click the down arrow and change the data type of all the columns to “text”

Confirm by clicking “Replace Current”

Click the close & Load button to load the data into excel as plain text – leading zeroes and long numbers will be retained.

If you want to make changes, do so and then you will need to save as a csv file.

You will need to remove the header row by clicking on that checkbox.
