Members Dropping off MPL following Patch 56
ISSUE: Boards are reporting that some or all Active Members are dropping off various MPL reports for OTIP, CUPE or even EWAO/OCEW following Patch 56.
ROOT CAUSE: The issue here was with regards to a fix in P56 for Ticket #110095 where a few employees were included in the MPL File who should not have been.
FIX: Make the Benefit Plan = OTIP/CUPE/OCEW/EWAO on the Position & Leave Record now mandatory.
Now Member Records will only be included if the Benefit Plan is configured properly.
Whereas previously this was always considered ‘best practice’ however missing this field would not cause the Employee to not generate on MPL File.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This will require a one-time ‘true-up’ of configuration that will require boards to update Benefit Plan under both Position and Leave records for applicable Employee ID’s.
This best practice can then be integrated moving forward to ensure maximum accuracy.
PROCESS OVERVIEW:
BENEFITS > GENERATE HRIS FILE > CUPE
**Submitted**
PROCESS > COMPLETED > MEMBER FILE
**Note there are significantly less pages of Members & NO Active Members being reported**
STAFFING > POSITION & ASSIGNMENT > SAMPLE CUPE EID
**Benefit Plan = NULL for an Employee we expect to see on CUPE MPL**
FIX: Update the Benefit Plan = CUPE > Save.
BENEFITS > GENERATE HRIS FILE > CUPE
**Submitted**
PROCESS > COMPLETED > MEMBER FILE
**This EID now generates as Work Status = Active**
PROCESS > COMPLETED > POSITION FILE
**This EID also generates under Position, now that they are an Active Member**
IMPORTANT NOTE: Benefit Plan is also now mandatory for Employee Leave Record and would fix the scenario where Employees would be missing on the Leave Record.
STAFFING > APPROVED LEAVES > SAMPLE CUPE EID
**Ensure Benefit Plan = CUPE for Approved Leave**
BENEFITS > GENERATE HRIS FILE > CUPE
**Submitted**
PROCESS > COMPLETED > MEMBER FILE
**This EID now generates**
PROCESS > COMPLETED > LEAVE FILE
**This EID also generates under Leave, now that they are an Active Member**
