Removing a Date from the Calendar

Modified on Mon, 16 Jun at 6:19 PM

In certain situations, you may need to remove a day from the school calendar—for example, to correct an inaccurately set end date for the school year. This action is rarely required, as most calendars include non-instructional days at the beginning and end of the academic year. These days are typically not part of the student attendance schedule and provide flexibility for adjustments without impacting actual instructional time.

Steps to Remove a Date

  1. Access the Calendar

    • Open the main Calendar view.

  2. Select the Target Date

    • Click on the date you wish to remove.

    • The selected date will appear in the Details card on the right side of the screen.

  3. Edit the Date

    • Click the Edit button on the Details card.

  4. Delete the Date

    • Click the Delete icon (?️).

    • A confirmation message will prompt you to confirm the removal.

  5. Confirm Deletion

    • Click Proceed in the dialog box to proceed.

Warning: Deleted dates are permanently removed. Ensure the date is not an instructional day before confirming the action.

To complete this task, your account must have the "Modify Calendar" and "Modify past days" permissions enabled.
