Grade 3 and 6 EQAO – ESL – Language Learner

The EQAO system picks up ESL – Language Learner - status based on the information entered in the report card. Specifically:

• If the ESL box is checked on the report card for Language or Math, it is sent to EQAO with a "1" (Yes).
• If the ESL box is not checked on the report card for Language or Math, it is sent as a "#" (No).

This is done through ConnectED by Teachers reporting on Language or Math under Menu – Achievement – Report Card Details – Student Programs by Class – Enter Student Programs – SAVE.
