1 OnSIS March Introduction

Hello!

As the March OnSIS Data Submission approaches, we’d like to share a few tips to help you make the most of the time you have leading up to the count date to prepare for submission.

  • This is our top tip, but highly overlooked and underrated: run your pre-validation reports early, and run them often!
    • Each submission period has a card to run these reports, and you don’t need to wait until March 31 to run them.
    • Regularly reviewing data errors and cleaning them up helps establish a routine of data review, and will help you complete your submissions in much less time, with much less stress.
  • Review the OnSIS Submission guide. This guide can be found in the Solutions Articles area in Freshdesk, search for March OnSIS. Private schools should also review the March OnSIS for Inspected Private Schools document.
    • This guide can help take some of the stress out of the situation, there are a few things you should review and complete before beginning your submissions, and this guide outlines them for you, with links to our user manuals where appropriate.
  • If you’ve got errors but aren’t sure how to fix them, check out the ONSIS - Pre-validation Errors and Resolution solutions article. We add common errors and their fixes to this article regularly.
  • Lastly, if you have a persistent error and you’ve tried all of the above, create a Freshdesk ticket by emailing sis.suppoert@edsembli.com
    • Help us help you by explaining in detail what you’re seeing, and what you expect to see. Examples of students help us hone in on an issue, which helps us determine if your issue is data related, or a system issue. There is no such thing as too much info!
