How to Empty Cache and Hard Reload after Deployment

ISSUE: System bugs and generic difficulties as a result of cached data within your web browser that are causing issues within modules, or slowing the system down after a new deployment.

FIX: It is recommended to Clear Cache and do a (Hard) Reload after each and every deployment to clear all cached data and start the system with a fresh slate after a new deployment.

Note: edsembli recommends the user of either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your browser of choice when using edsembli HRP web software.

  • Please note this is a suggestion, not a mandate

GOOGLE CHROME - Steps to Resolve

[OPTIONAL]: Open Incognito Mode in your browser (we recommend use of Google Chrome)

**This is useful when you have multiple Microsoft Accounts that you continually swap through and save priority over one another. Incognito allows you to choose and sign into the appropriate account easily**

Edsembli HRP Dashboard:

Choose the Browser Options Button:

Choose More Tools > Clear Browsing Data:

Configure Time Range = All Time, and select Cached Images and Files:

**Choose Clear Data to proceed**

Note: Once the Cache has been cleared > Select the Reload button to reload your session in edsembli HRP.

Technical Notes on Hard Reload

Click F12 on Keyboard:

Right Click browser Reload Button > Choose Empty Cache and Hard Reload

**The system will then reload under a clean slate; no previous cached data will remain and this is the recommended method of ‘hard restart’ for the new system at the appropriate times.

MICROSOFT EDGE - Steps to Resolve

[OPTIONAL]: Open Incognito Mode in your browser

**This is useful when you have multiple Microsoft Accounts that you continually swap through and save priority over one another. Incognito allows you to choose and sign into the appropriate account easily**

Choose the Browser Options Button:

Choose Settings

Choose Privacy, Search and Services > scroll down until Clear Browsing Data:

**Click Choose What to Clear**

Configure Time Range = All Time

Select Cached Images and Files and Optionally; Cookies and other Site Data:

**Choose Clear Now to proceed**

Note: Once the Cache has been cleared > Select the Reload button to reload your session in edsembli HRP.
