For salary grid groups, a salary grid increase will be required to account for the minimum wage rate changes that take place in different time periods. See the link for the effective dates for all wage changes.

  1. For salary grid groups, in Board Control\Compensation\Salary Grids search your group
  2. Create/edit entries in SE3 that follow the time periods, edit grid steps to encompass the varying rates within the time period
  3. Save, then run Board Control\Compensation\Salary and Allowance Update to update employee records

For hourly paid groups, manual changes can be made to individual employees in Compensation\Salary and Allowances. Edit the field "Compensation Rate:" which will effect the "Hourly Rate:" field.

New: Minimum wage rates in Ontario will increase on October 1, 2021. Under the Making Ontario Open for Business Act this increase is tied to the Ontario Consumer Price Index for 2020.

The increase to the general minimum wage is 10 cents, which brings the new rate to $14.35 an hour.

The general and specialized minimum wage rates that also take effect on October 1, 2021 are detailed in the chart below.
