Enhanced Dashboard Features and Configuration

Overview

 

The purpose for the Enhanced Dashboard is to provide the users with additional ‘at a glance’ analytics and with the capability to drill – down from the graphs to the financial transactions (based on user permissions).

 

The following five (5) graphs are offered with the enhanced FIN Dashboard:

 

  • Actual vs. Budget
  • Aging Commitments
  • Aging Requisitions
  • Open Commitments
  • Unprocessed Requisitions

Graphs Features

 

Actual vs. Budget [bar graph]

 

Displays the current year’s pre-commitments, commitments, and expenses for a G/L account or for a group of G/L accounts.

Configurable for a G/L account or a group of G/L accounts (graph settings).

Hover over the graph bar to display amounts for the corresponding period.

Click on the graph bar to drill-down to that period’s financial data (Budget Query screen will be displayed).

 

Open Commitments [bar graph]

 

Displays the current year’s open commitments (purchase orders with a status of ‘open’ and a remaining commitment <> 0).

Configurable for a location or multiple locations (graph settings).

Hover over the graph bar to display the number of open commitments for the corresponding period.

Click on the graph bar to drill-down to that period’s purchase orders data (PO Management screen will be displayed).

 

Unprocessed Requisitions [bar graph]

 

Displays the current year’s open requisitions (requisitions with a status approved, changed, new, preapproved, rejected by approver, rejected by buyer).

Configurable for a location or multiple locations (graph settings).

Hover over the graph bar to display the number of open requisitions for the corresponding period.

Click on the graph bar to drill-down to that period’s requisitions data (Requisition Management screen will be displayed).

 

Aging Commitments [pie graph]

 

Displays the current year’s aging commitments (purchase orders with a status of ‘open’ and a remaining commitment <> 0, where the PO issue date is 0-30 days, 31- 60 days, 61 – 90 days, 91 – 120 days, and 120 + days, from the current date).

Configurable for a location or multiple locations (graph settings).

Hover over the pie graph to display the number of purchase orders not decommitted for the corresponding aging period for the corresponding aging period.

 

Aging Requisitions [pie graph]

 

Displays the current year’s unprocessed requisitions where the requisition issue date is 0-30 days, 31- 60 days, 61 – 90 days, 91 – 120 days, and 120 + days, from the current date.

Configurable for a location or multiple locations (graph settings).

Hover over the pie graph to display the number of unprocessed requisitions for the corresponding aging period.

Click on the pie graph to drill-down to requisitions data (Requisition Management screen will be displayed).

 


Dashboard Security

 

Ability to view dashboard graphs can be granted to users through Operation Access.

 

User G/L security and Location security have been implemented for all graphs.

 

The Dashboard is fully configurable at user level and is controlled at board level (User Preference). 

 

 

Operation Access Setup

 

To grant or restrict any given dashboard graph based on user, group or role, go to Operation Access Editor > Dashboard tab.

 

Select the checkboxes for the graphs which should be visible to the user.

Board Dashboard Setup

 

To specify board-wide which graphs should be included in the dashboard, go to Board Global Settings > Dashboard tab.

Select a display option for each dashboard graphs.

 

Available options:

On – the graph is always displayed on the dashboard.

Off – the graph is not displayed on the dashboard.

User Preference – graph display is configurable by the user.

 

Default selection: User Preference

User Preference Setup

 

Go to My Preferences > Dashboard tab.

Select the checkboxes for the graphs to be displayed on the dashboard.
